Drug Arrests in Cadiz, KY

(Cadiz, KY) - KSP Post 1 received a call that a wanted subject, Robert Carter was at 1367 Canton Road in Cadiz, KY. Mr. Carter had outstanding warrants in Trigg County. Upon arrival, Kayla Walsh was observed operating a vehicle where marijuana was found in plain view, a search of the vehicle, subsequent to arrest, revealed a loaded handgun, 8.8 oz. of marijuana, 5.5 oz. of methamphetamine and several drug paraphernalia items.

Both subjects were taken into custody. Kayla Walsh was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 2nd deg or greater, Trafficking in Marijuana over 8 oz., Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree and lodged in the Christian County Jail. Robert Carter was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st degree, 2nd offense, Trafficking in Marijuana over 8 oz., Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Handgun by Convicted Felon, Execution of a Local Warrant and lodged in the Trigg County Jail.

Trooper Wright was assisted on the scene by the Trigg County Sheriff's Office and the Cadiz Police Department.
