A Tennessee Man Arrested for Stolen Property in McCracken County, KY

(PADUCAH, KY.) On 8-3-05 Kentucky State Police Detectives arrested a Nashville man and recovered approximately $50,000.00 in stolen property. This afternoon Detective Steve Glenn received information from TN authorities that a truck, trailer and backhoe was stolen from Ashland City, TN on Monday morning. Detective Glenn saw a truck pulling a backhoe on Cairo Road near I-24 and ran the tag on the trailer. A hit from NCIC confirmed the trailer was stolen. The driver pulled in to the Pilot Truck Center, parked the vehicle and fled on foot. Paducah Police Department apprehended Wayne L. Daugherty, 24 of Nashville, near Noble Road without incident. Detective Glenn charged Daugherty with 3 counts of Receiving Stolen Property and 2nd Degree Fleeing and Evading Police. The Paducah Police Department and McCracken Sheriff's Department assisted state police at the scene. The investigation is continuing by Detective Glenn.
