A Wickliffe Man is Charged with Attempted Murder and Wanton Endangerment

Date of News Release: 04/26/2005

(PADUCAH, KY.) Three months after a pursuit ended with an injury accident involving driver Scott C. Dunning, Kentucky State Police file charges against the 38 year old Wickliffe man. On 4/28/2005, Kentucky State Police Detective Janet Gabbard charged Dunning with Attempted Murder and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree. Warrants were obtained for Dunning after he was involved in a pursuit on 1-22-05. Detective Gabbard's investigation revealed that during a pursuit that ran from Paducah through McCracken and Graves Counties, Dunning intentionally struck a McCracken County deputy's cruiser. Dunning is also accused of attempting to strike Trooper Mike Turnbow, as Turnbow stood outside his police cruiser on Wheeler Lane in McCracken County. Dunning remains in the McCracken County Jail.
