KSP Investigating A Shooting Near Columbia, KY

(Columbia, KY) - The Kentucky State police are conducting a death investigation that occurred shortly after 3:00 am Sunday morning 14 miles west of Columbia on Keltnertown Road at the residence of Ozie & Evelyn Toole.

The victim, Stephen Josh Penn, Columbia KY, age 21 entered the residence through a broken window and was confronted by the homeowner, Ozie Toole. An altercation ensued which lead to the victim being shot by Mr. Toole.

The Adair County Coroner pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The investigation continues and will be presented to the Adair County Grand Jury.
