Death Investigation in Anderson County, KY

(Frankfort, KY) - Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort is conducting a murder investigation in Anderson County. On Monday August 1, 2005, at 5:33 PM the Lawrenceburg Police Dispatch received a 911 call of shots fired at 1231 Berdine Way 3.5 miles north of Lawrenceburg, KY.

Anderson County Deputies responded and found a female deceased and a male suffering from a gunshot wound. The deputies then notified Anderson County EMS and requested Kentucky State Police detectives.

The female victim appears to have died from multiple gunshot wounds. The male victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound. The male was taken to the Frankfort Regional Medical Center and transferred to the University Of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

Names of the victims remain undisclosed pending notification of next of kin. Primary investigation indicates murder and self inflicted gunshot wound.

Anderson Sheriff Department, Anderson County Coroner Office and the Anderson County EMS assisted Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort.
