Murder Investigation in Clay County, KY

Date of News Release: 04/11/2005

(LONDON, KY) - On Monday, April 11, 2005 at approximately 10:44 p.m. the Kentucky State Police in London received a report of a possible homicide at a residence on KY 80 in Clay County KY.

Through the course of the investigation William T. Gilbert (48) Manchester, KY was discovered dead with numerous gunshot wounds to the upper torso.

The victim remains are being sent to the state medical examiners office for an autopsy.

Detective Doug Boyd, Sergeant Chris Thompson, Trooper Chuck Johnson, and Trooper Jason O'Bannon were assisted at the scene by Clay County Coroner Jim Trosper.

The investigation will be continued by Detective Boyd.
