Kentucky State Police Post 11 Under New Command

(LONDON, KY) - On February 1st, 2005 Captain Jack Miniard a native from Harlan County transferred from the Internal Affairs Section located at Frankfort, KY to Post 11 London as commander after the promotion of Captain James Vanhook to Major which was effective on January 16, 2005.
Captain Miniard graduated the University of Kentucky in 1989 and, graduated from the Kentucky State Police academy in 1990. He began his career as a trooper at the Harlan Post where he was assigned to Harlan County. Captain Miniard has also held Supervisory Positions at Post 10 Harlan, Post 8 Morehead, and, the Special Operations section. He was promoted to captain in 2004.
