Residential Fire Claimed the Lives of Two Children

(WOOLUM, KY) On 8/14/2005 at 6:30 a.m., a residential fire claimed the lives of two children ages two and three. The mother, Crystal Hoskins age 25 and her infant child escaped the fire and Mrs. Hoskins was taken to the Knox County Hospital where she was treated and released. The father, Jonathan S. Hoskins age 28 sustained serious burns and was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he is listed in serious but stable condition. This incident is still under investigation by Detective Mark Mefford and Detective Dee Hughes of Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan.
