Mayfield Man Charged with Assault 2nd Degree

(Mayfield, KY) On 12-13-04 Kentucky State Police received a call from the Jackson Purchase Medical Center stating they were treating a 13 year-old that had been assaulted earlier in the day.

The juvenile stated that a staff member at the day treatment center in Murray had assaulted him. Trooper Brad Smith's investigation revealed evidence the assault did occur and obtained an arrest warrant on 12-15-04 for the staff member.

At 8:48 PM, Troopers arrested Charles D. Parrot, age 42 of Mayfield, charging him with assault 2^nd degree, a Class C Felony. Mr. Parrot was lodged in the Calloway County Jail.

The investigation is continuing by Trooper Smith.
