Sadieville Burglary Arrest
(Sadieville, KY) At approximately 0955 hours the Harrison County Sheriff's office contacted the Kentucky State Police at Post 6 in Dry Ridge for assistance on Boyers Chapel Road.
The Sheriff's office had been contacted by the victim of a recent residential burglary who told them that he had chased the suspect of his burglary, after he passed him on the road, from Harrison County into Scott County. As the suspect's vehicle traveled down the roadway he threw various pieces of stolen property out of his vehicle window.
The chase came to an end when the suspect vehicle, a white Pontiac Bonneville, drove off the road and through a creek as he was throwing items from the vehicle. The suspect remained at the scene while a second vehicle occupant fled on foot into the woods.
The Chief of the Sadieville Police Department was first to arrive on the scene with the Scott County Sheriff, Harrison County Sheriff and the Kentucky State Police arriving soon after.
The suspect, Patrick B. Morris (23) of Sadieville, was arrested by Trooper D. Ison and charged with Burglary 1st Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Morris was turned over to the Harrison County Transportation Officer and lodged in the Bourbon County Jail. The stolen items recovered from the scene and from along the roadway, which included a rifle belonging to the victim, were collected as evidence.
