KSP Post-5 Trooper Discovers A Working Methamphetamine Lab In Henry County

(CAMPBELLSBURG, KY) - On August 03, 2004 at 12:30 am Kentucky State Police located a working Methamphetamine lab in Campbellsburg, Kentucky. Trooper Ryan Gosser received an anonymous tip that there was a working Methamphetamine lab at 84 Summit Drive, Campbellsburg, Kentucky. Upon the troopers arrival he noticed the strong smell of chemicals coming from the residence. Trooper Gosser removed the residence including three small children from the home because of the volatile nature of Methamphetamine labs and called for assistance from other troopers. A search warrant was obtained and a Kentucky State Police Clandestine Laboratory Decontamination Team was called to collect evidence and dismantle the lab. Inside the home officers located 5 grams of "finished product" (Methamphetamine) and a Semi-automatic pistol. During the cleanup process Damon J. Albert arrived at the residence and was found to be carrying Methamphetamine precursors in his vehicle and was arrested. The residence of 84 Summit Drive, Roger A. Chilton and Carrie A. Brown were arrested also arrested. All three were lodged in the Carroll County Detention Center. More charges are expected after these cases are heard by the Henry County Grand Jury.
