Post 3 Monthly Activity Report for August

(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) --The Commander of the Kentucky State Police Post, Captain Wayne Mayfield is reporting the following activity for the month of August 2004.

Troopers at the Bowling Green Post issued 1,329 various citations, 552 of those citations were for Speeding, 88 for No Seatbealts, and 1 for No Child Restraint. Troopers arrested 33 people for Driving Under the Influence.

Troopers investigated 120 Motor Vehicle Accidents, 8 of which were fatalities, inspected 1,786 vehicles, issued 396 Courtesy Notices, and assisted 255 motorists.

The Post Three Troopers and Detectives, investigated 1,302 complaints, opened 153 Criminal Cases, and made 253 Criminal Arrests.
