Death Investigation

Victim Data:
Name: Brandon M. Gatto
Age: 19
Address: Bowling Green, KY

(Frankfort, KY) - The victim was recovered this morning from Barren River Lake in the area of John Holder Road in Allen County. KSP is conducting a death investigation with an autopsy scheduled for today in Louisville. Investigation continues.

**Update** The victim had gone to a residence on the lake for the July 4th holiday with friends. He was last seen at 2330 hrs on the 4th walking toward the lake. The following day some of the people went to work and others went to Kentucky Kingdom. Family and friends had not had contact with him throughout the day. A search of the area around the residence was conducted and a shoe was found in the water. The Scottsville/Allen County Dive Team searched the lake recovering the victim from the water at 0721 hrs on July 6th.

Autopsy, performed by the State Medical Examiners office, revealed the manner of death was drowning.
