Assault in 1st Degree Update

(Simpson County, KY) - *****UPDATE***** On June 16th. 2004 the Warren County Grand Jury indicted Rondal Hibbit II for Assault 1st; 2 counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st; Tampering with Physical Evidence; and Persistant Felony Offender 1st. That indictment warrant was served June 18, 2004 at 10:30 hours. Hibbit remains in the Warren County Jail on a $300,000 dollar cash bond. The 2 wanton endangerment charges are in reference to Pratts 2 children that were in the residence at the time of the fire.

(Earlier Release) : Ronald Hibbitt II and his girlfriend, Charlie Pratt were involved in a verbal argument at 333 Hilltopper Dr. It is alleged that during this argument, Hibbitt threw gas on Pratt and set her on fire. Hibbitt took Pratt to Greenview Hospital where she was transferred to Vanderbilt's burn unit. Hibbitt was charged with Assault 1st Degree and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
