Two Arrested for Burglary 3rd Degree in Trigg County
Date of News Release: 7/14/2004
(Trigg County, KY)- On 7-13-04 at approximately 2:00 AM, the accused forced their way into the Hilltop Cash Market on U.S. 68, West of Cadiz. Taken in the burglary was several cases of Gatorade, archery targets and tools. The total value on the property exceeded $500.00. Detective Michelle Kent developed a lead that Shane Pilkington and a juvenile may have been involved in the burglary. The two were located in a residense across the road from the market and the stolen property was in their possession. Investigators arrested Pilkington and the juvenile, charging both with Burglary 3rd. Pilkington was lodged in the Trigg County Jail and the juvenile was released to a parent.
The burglary investigation and arrest has lead to the discovery of 12 guns being taken from the residence where Pilkington and the juvenile were discovered. The owner of the property, Dorathy Capes, reported to investigators that 12 guns were missing from her home. The Trigg County Sheriff's Department located 9 of the 12 guns at Pilkington's residence. The investigation on this case is continuing with further charges expected.
