Insurance Fraud

(Murray, KY) - At approx 5:00 P.M. on 3/31/2004 Kentucky State Police executed simultaneous search warrants at Imes-Miller Funeral Home and Churchill -Imes Funeral Home both located in Murray. The search warrants were obtained after an investigation began into reported insurance fraud by one or more agents of the funeral homes. Multiple documents were obtained during the search. On April 5th warrants obtained and served on Richard Matt Imes, 29, one of the employees of the funeral home. Imes was charged with 1 count of Fraudulant Insurance Acts over 300 and Forgery 2nd Degree. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police with assistance from the Kentucky Department of Insurance and the Attorney Generals Office. Other charges are pending.
