Manufacturing Methamphetamine Arrest

(LONDON, KY) - On August 12th, 2004 at approximately 0430 hours, Kentucky State Police Sergeant Steve Walker attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle was stopped approximately 3 miles north of East Bernstadt on KY 490. The operator, identified as Donald Radford age 47 of London was arrested on charges of Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, No Operators License, Disregarding a Stop Sign, Failure to Give a Signal and Possession of Controlled Substance 2^nd Degree. While at the location, a strong chemical odor was discovered coming from an abandoned trailer located where the vehicle had stopped which lead to further investigation of the suspicious odor.. Kentucky State Police Trooper Don Sivils, Deputy Sheriff Daryl Zanet, Deputy Sheriff Lloyd Cochran and Sergeant Walker located items used in the Manufacturing Methamphetamine inside of the premises. Angela Senters age 29 and Scottie Elkins age 29 both of London were located hiding in a rear room of the trailer. The arrest lead to the discovery of a stolen firearm at the location.

Donald Radford was additionally charged with the Manufacturing Methamphetamine(1^st Offense). Angela Senters was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine (1^st Offense). Scottie Elkins was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine (2^nd Offense), Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon and Receiving Stolen Firearm. All three were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center in London.

Investigation continues by Sergeant Steve Walker and Trooper Don Sivils.
