News Release

Subject Sought for Questioning in Bank Robberies

Date of News Release: 7/8/2004

(London, KY) - On Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at approximately 12:57 p.m. a male armed with a handgun and a device which he claimed to be a bomb entered the BB&T Bank on KY 90 in Monticello demanding money. This was the second bank in the London Post area, which had been robbed within a week.

After publishing surveillance photos obtained from cameras inside the banks and receiving a number of tips the Kentucky State Police in London along with the Somerset Police Department are seeking information on the location of Ronald Wade age 50 of Russell Springs, Kentucky. Ronald Wade is also being sought by the US Marshals Office in Nashville after he walked off from a Halfway House in Nashville on July 1, 2004.

Ronald Wade is described as a white/male age 50, blue eyes, brown hair, height 6'2, and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He may be in the company of Cindy Lee Anderson age 47, white female, dark hair and medium build and/or Luther Self age 32, dark complexion and approximately 5'8 to 5'10 in height.

All three should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone having information as to the whereabouts of either of these subjects is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police in London at 606-878-6622, Somerset Police Department at 606-678-5176, or the US Marshal Office in London at 606-864-6993. All information can remain anonymous.
