Update #2 Death Investigation in Wayne County
Date of News Release: 6/28/2004
(LONDON, KY) - On Monday, June 28, 2004 at approximately 6:30 p.m. the body of Jonathan Darrell Ranken Hicks, age 5 of Monticello was located. The body was discovered over a 200-foot embankment lying in the water of Lake Cumberland approximately 500 yards from where he was last seen on Sunday. The Pulaski County Coroners Office pronounced Jonathan Darrell Ranken Hicks dead at the scene. The body will be taken to the Kentucky State Medical Examiners Office in Frankfort for an autopsy to determine the exact cause and time of death.
On Tuesday, June 29, 2004 the Medical Examiners office in Frankfort listed the cause of death drowning. Detective Todd Dalton is continuing the investigation.
