Theft Investigation in Pulaski County

(LONDON, KY) - As a result of a search conducted by Kentucky State Police and Pulaski Sheriff Department at a residence on Dahl-Elrod Rod in Pulaski County last week. The search discovered; John Deer Garden Tractor, 1986 International Roll Back Wrecker, 2000 New Holland Tractor and a Honda 4-wheeler. The thefts had occurred in Madison, Jackson and Hart Counties.

The discovery of the stolen property lead to two additional searches where additional stolen property was recovered. Tommy Head age 61 of Somerset was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center in Somerset after officers discovered a John Deer Garden Tractor at his residence which had been reported stolen in Madison County. Officers then went to the residence of Franklin Wilson age 74 of Somerset where they discovered a 2000 Toyota Pickup, which had been reported stolen from Hyden, Kentucky. Franklin Wilson was charged with Obscuring the Identity of a Machine, and Receiving Stolen Property. He was also charged with Possession of Un-Tax Whiskey in a Dry Territory after 21 quarts of Moonshine was found at his residence.

Kentucky State Police Special Investigation Auto Theft Detective Bill Riley is conducting the investigation and was assisted by Kentucky State Police Detective Todd Dalton, Pulaski County Sheriff Deputies Detective Brett Whitaker, Deputy John Hutchinson and Deputy Scott Trotter. Further arrest are pending and the investigations are continuing.
