Second Arrest Made in Rockcastle County
 Methamphetamine Lab Investigation

(Mount Vernon, KY) -  As part of an investigation into the production and distribution of Methamphetamine in Rockcastle County a search warrant was obtained on Sunday, February 29, 2004 for the residence of Tim Hardin on Mutt Ponder Road approximately 10 miles north of Mt. Vernon in Rockcastle County. A search of the residence and property discovered several small working Methamphetamine Labs, products used in the Manufacturing of Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, Stolen pickup truck and a large amount of cash. Lisa Witt age 29 of Mt. Vernon was arrested and lodged in the Rockcastle County Jail charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Trafficking of Marijuana less than 8 ounces and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Tuesday, March 3, 2004 Trooper Ryan Loudermilk and Trooper Lafe Owens arrested Tim Hardin at his residence on a warrant obtained on Monday for his arrest as a result of a search which was conducted on Sunday. Tim Hardin was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Trafficking of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of Anhydrous with intent to Manufacture and Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 1st degree (13 year-old assisting in the manufacturing). At the time of his arrest additional charges were placed on Mr. Hardin, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Pre-cursor and lodged in the Rockcastle County Jail in Mt. Vernon.

The investigation is continuing.
