News Release

UPDATE: New Arrest in Stolen Property Case

(London, KY) - On Thursday, January 22, 2004 at approximately 12:00 p.m. Kentucky State Police Special Investigation Detective Bill Riley arrested Stanley Whitaker age 67 of Somerset, Kentucky. Stanley Whitaker was charged with 4 counts of Receiving Stolen Property, 3 counts of Obscuring the Identity of a Machine and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center in Somerset.

On Wednesday, January 21, 2004 investigating officers recovered additional property which had been reported stolen in Indiana such as firearms and tools as part of the investigation.

The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police Special Investigations, Indiana State Police, Hancock County, Hamilton County or Marion County Sheriff Departments in Indiana.
