Body Found in Mississippi River

(Mayfield, KY) - ON JULY 11 2003 AT 1505 HRS LAKE COUNTY TENNESSEE SHERIFF OFFICE RESPONDED TO A CALL OF A BODY FLOATING IN THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER JUST SOUTH OF THE KENTUCKY TENNESSEE STATE LINE.

RESCUE AGENCIES RECOVERED A BODY THAT CLOSELY MATCHED THE DESCRIPTION OF THE MISSING 13-YEAR-OLD FEMALE, SHERRY ANN HODGES THAT WAS REPORTED AS MISSING ON MONDAY JULY 07, 2003.

POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION IS PENDING FOLLOWING AN AUTOPSY SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY IN LOUISVILLE. THE INVESTIGATION IS CONTINUING BY KENTUCKY STATE POLICE DETECTIVE GEORGE BELL.
