KSP Post 1 Livingston County Murder Investigation

(Mayfield, KY) -  KY STATE POLICE, MAYFIELD, RECEIVED A CALL FROM A LIVINGSTON CO RESIDENT AT 0144 HRS THIS DATE REPORTING A SHOOTING AT 778 REDNOUR LANE.

WHEN STATE POLICE ARRIVED AT THE SCENE THEY FOUND 39 YEAR OLD TOBIAS LADERER DEAD IN HIS YARD.

MR LADERER HAD BEEN IN AN ARGUMENT EARLIER WITH 30 YEAR OLD CHRISTOPHER DOOM OF GRAND RIVERS, KY.

THE VICTIM HAD BEEN SHOT WITH A .22 CALIBER RIFLE SEVERAL TIMES AND BLUDGEONED WITH THE SAME RIFLE. CHRISTOPHER DOOM WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND CHARGED WITH MURDER AND WAS LODGED IN LIVINGSTON CO JAIL.

THE INVESTIGATION IS STILL CONTINUING BY DETECTIVES SAM STEGER AND GEORGE BELL.
