Armed Robbery in McCreary County

(London, KY) - On December 14, 2003 at approximately 11:55 p.m. McCreary Countyb911 received a report of an Armed Robbery at the Holiday Inn Express on US 27 in Whitley City. According to the report a white male entered the motel lobby brandishing a handgun demanding money. The male subject then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash in a Dark Green or Blue, Saturn occupied by a white female with blonde hair.

There were no injuries reported during the robbery. The male subject was described as being in his mid to late 20's, wearing a blue toboggan, dark jacket and light complexion.

Trooper Craig Reed is continuing the investigation. Anyone having information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police in London at 606-878-6622 or 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state).
