Monroe County Roundup

Date of News Release: 03/26/2014

(Monroe County, KY) - On March 26, 2014, Kentucky State Police, Drug Enforcement/Special Investigations concluded a three year investigation into a large scale methamphetamine drug syndicate reaching Allen, Warren, Barren, Metclafe, Cumberland, Powell, and Monroe Counties. Detectives from Kentucky State Police Columbia and Bowling Green Posts, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement along with KSP K-9, KSP Special Response Team, Bowling Green/Warren County Drug Task Force, South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force, Barren/Edmonson/Allen County Drug Task Force, Allen County Sheriff's Office, Monroe County Sheriff's Office, and the Tompkinsville Police Department all assisted in the round up. Nine guns, .5 gram of methamphetamine, an anhydrous ammonia tank, and a drug ledger were seized. The following individuals were charged with Engaging in Organized Crime and lodged in the Monroe County Jail:

Cardellia Murphy, 46 of Clay City was arrested and lodged in the Powell County Jail

Investigation conitnues with additional arrest pending.
