Former Pastor at Franklin Presbyterian Church Arrested

(Simpson County) - Following a 13 month investigation by KSP DE/SI West, Richard W. Bridges (65) of Bowling Green, was indicted by a Simpson County Grand Jury on two counts of Theft By Unlawful Taking O/$300, two counts of Forgery 2nd Degree and one count of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card O/$100 w/6 mos. Mr. Bridges is the former Pastor at Franklin Presbyterian Church. Mr. Bridges is accused of stealing approximately $50,000 from the church during a 2 year period using various methods and schemes. Mr. Bridges was arrested on 02-09-09 and is lodged in the Simpson County Detention Center.
