Fugitive Arrest in Laurel County
Date of News Release: 07/03/2013
(London, KY) -- On Tuesday July 2nd 2013 around 3 P.M. Officer Duffy Sutton with the Kentucky State Police Vehicle Enforcement conducted a traffic stop on I-75 northbound near the 43 mile marker in Laurel County Kentucky.
Upon speaking to the operator for improper lane usage, officers also discovered that the suspect had given officers a false name and did not have a valid license. Consent to search of the vehicle was obtained and officer found several types of drugs along with material reveling the identity of 46 yr old Theodore Roosevelt Nix III of Toledo Ohio.
Nix was arrested without incident and charged with Improper Lane Usage, Operating on Suspended License, Giving Officer False Name, Prescription Controlled Substance not in proper container, Possession of Marijuana and Fugitive from another state.
Nix was lodged in the Laurel Co Detention Center.
