Commercial Vehicle Accident in Laurel County

(London, KY) -- On Monday February 18th 2013 around 1PM officer Joey Ray Caldwell with the Kentucky State Police-Vehicle Enforcement responded to a single vehicle accident located on US25 in Lily Kentucky.
Upon arrival officer Caldwell found 43 year old Larry Fields of Castlewood Virginia operating a 2012 International coal truck were he had lost control, ran off the roadway, coming to rest in a ditch line causing the truck to nearly overturn.
The north bound lanes of travel were closed for nearly two hours while wrecker crews worked to free the fully loaded coal truck with out spilling any coal onto the roadway.
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors and Fields was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
Assisting on scene: Laurel Co Sheriffs Department, Lily Fire Department, and Laurel Co Emergency Management.
