KSP Investigates Injury Accident Involving KSP Officer On US 68

Glasgow, KY. -- The Kentucky State Police responded to an injury accident at the intersection of Veterans Outer Loop and US 68 that involved a KSP officer.
Preliminary investigation shows that around 2:15 pm on Monday afternoon Officer Brandon Ford was traveling northbound on Veterans Outer Loop in his state issued patrol car. As Officer Ford entered the intersection at US 68, a 1991 Chevy S10 being operated by Tony Blakey 59 of Edmonton, KY also entered the intersection while traveling eastbound on US 68. Officer Fords patrol car struck the Chevy S10 causing moderate damage to both vehicles.
Officer Ford was transported to TJ Samson Hospital where he was later treated and released with minor injuries. Mr. Blakey refused treatment at the scene.
Officer Ford was on duty at the time of accident and the accident is still under investigation.
