Injury Traffic Crash in Whitley County
Date of News Release: 08/27/2009
(London, Ky.) -- On Thursday August 27, 2009 at approximately 09:18 AM the Kentucky State Police Post 11 in London received a report of a two vehicle traffic crash on I-75 in Whitley County.
Upon arrival KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Charles Garland discovered that a 2006 Volvo tractor/trailer operated by Forrest McLaughlin, 45, of Atlanta, GA was northbound on I-75 when it struck a farm tractor operated by Joshua Craig, 25, of Salt Lick, KY.
The farm tractor was contracted to mow along the interstate and was struck as it crossed a bridge, ejecting Craig.
Craig was transported to the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin with non-life threatening injuries.
CVE Officer Charles Garland is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by officers from the KSP Division of CVE and the Whitley County EMS.
