Date of News Release: 02/24/2009
(London, Ky.) - On Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 3:34 AM EDT the Kentucky State Police Division of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement responded to a traffic crash, with injury, on I-75 at the 37 mile marker.
Upon arrival CVE Officer Greg Reams determined that a 2002, black, Honda Civic, driven by David Briggs, 24, of Des Peres, MO was northbound on I-75 when it struck an unknown tractor/trailer in the rear.
The tractor/trailer continued northbound, possible due to not knowing it had been struck.

No drug or alcohol use is suspected and seatbelts were in use at the time of the crash.
Officer Reams is the lead investigator and is assisted at the scene the Laurel County Fire Department, Kentucky Highway Department and the Laurel County EMS.
