Cold Case on Richard Strable

State Police Request Help Resolving Richard Strable Murder

On Tuesday, April 15, 1986, Cincinnati native Richard Strable was traveling to Prestonsburg, KY for a business meeting. He stopped to assist a possible stranded motorist at the old toll plaza on the Mountain Parkway just west of Salyersville. During this stop, Mr. Strable was shot and killed in a robbery.
