KSP is teaming up with bd's Mongolian Grill in Lexington
for a fundraising event to benefit Trooper Island

Date of News Release: 03/18/2013

(Frankfort, KY.) -- KSP is teaming up with bd's Mongolian Grill in Lexington for a fundraising event to benefit Trooper Island. On Thursday, March 28, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, the restaurant, will donate 10 percent of its sales during that time period to the KSP-sponsored summer camp for disadvantaged children.

The event is open to the public and all KSP employees, retirees and KSP Citizen's Police Academy alumni are invited to attend. The night's activities will feature several KSP guest grillers and free hourly drawings for KSP gift items.

Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy a unique dining experience while sharing some quality social time with members of the KSP family and supporting a worthwhile cause that benefits Kentucky's children.

Based on the centuries old traditions of the Mongol warriors of Asia, who gathered in large community groups in banquet-style pavilions to create a "feast" for all to enjoy by combining slivers of meat & vegetables, sliced with their razor-sharp swords, then cooked on their overturned shields over a blazing fire, bd's Mongolian Grill is the world's number one Create Your Own Stir-Fry restaurant. bd's unique fun comes from YOUR ability to create your own "feast" from a variety of choice meats and seafood, fresh veggies & flavor-packed sauces, freshly cooked before your eyes (Mongolian-style) on a large, flat grill!

bd's Mongolian Grill is conveniently located off of I-75, Exit 108 at 2309 Sir Barton Way in Hamburg Place. Reservations are not required, but are recommended. Call (859) 264-0686.

Trooper Island is a free summer camp for underprivileged boys and girls age 10-12 operated by the Kentucky State Police on Dale Hollow Lake in Clinton County. It is financed entirely by donations, no public funds are used. Each year, the camp hosts approximately 700 children, providing good food, fresh air, recreation, guidance and structured, esteem-building activities designed to build good citizenship and positive relationships with law enforcement officers.
