| Through December 31, 2009, fifty-six (56) people have been killed in the Post 8 District. Twenty-nine (29) victims were not wearing seat belts, ten (10) victims were wearing a seat belt, one (1) victim was seat belt unknown, six (6) victims was not wearing a helmet (motorcycle), four (4) victims was wearing a helmet (motorcycle), one (1) victim helmet was unknown (motorcycle), one (1) victim was not wearing a helmet (ATV) and four (4) victims were pedestrians. Six (6) fatality crashes have involved the suspected use of alcohol. | |||
