Through June 24, 2015, preliminary statistics* indicate that three hundred and four (304) people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways during 2015. This ten (10) more than the same that was reported for the same time period in 2014.
Through June 24, 2015, there has been twenty-eight (28) persons killed in the Post 7 District: nine (9) victims were not wearing a seatbelt, four (4) victims were a wearing seatbelt, seven (7) victims seatbelt was unknown, three (3) victims were not wearing a helmet (motorcycle), three (3) victims were wearing a helmet (motorcycle) & two (2) victims were a pedestrian. Nine (9) fatality crashes involved the suspected use of alcohol.
