| Through May 23, 2012, preliminary statistics* indicate that 267 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways during 2012. This is twenty-nine (29) more fatalities more reported for the same time period in 2011. In the Post Thirteen there has been eleven (11) motor vehicle fatalities and seven (7) victims were not wearing a seat belts and two (2) victims were wearing a seat belt and two (2) victims seat belt was unknown. One crash involved an ATV and the victim was not wearing a helmet. One death has resulted from crashes involving the suspected use of alcohol. | |||
