Through Feb. 7, 2012, preliminary statistics* indicate that 64 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways during 2012. This is six more fatalities than reported for the same period in 2011. In the Post Eleven there has been seven (7) motor vehicle fatalities and one (1) victim was not wearing a seat belt and six (6) victims were wearing a seat belt. Zero deaths has resulted from crashes involving the suspected use of alcohol.
