KSP MAKES DRUG ARREST IN PIKE COUNTY

DORTON, KY (February 25th 2018) Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post 09 arrested an Ohio man on traffic, and drug charges.
While on patrol Troopers observed a vehicle speeding and being operated in a careless manner. Troopers initiated a traffic stop on KY Rt. 611, while talking to the operator he was observed sticking his right hand between the seat and console. Troopers ask the operator to exit the vehicle and could see plastic bags that appeared to contain drugs. Upon exit the operator stated there was a ton of drugs in the car.
Troopers discovered 53 Roxicodone 30 mg, Approximately 10 grams of Heroin, 34grams of Cocaine, 36 grams of Methamphetamine, 1 gram of Marijuana, and $1078.00 in cash.
The operator Mathew Emmel from Defiance Ohio was arrested for 3 traffic charges and 6 for drugs, he was lodged in the Pikeville Detention Center.
This case remains under investigation by Trooper M. Martin.
