KSP Investigates a Shooting in Grant County

Crittenden, KY (March 3, 2018) — The Kentucky State Police, Dry Ridge Post 6, are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Grant County, in the city limits of Crittenden.
KSP 911 Dispatch Center received a call on March 2, 2018, at approximately 9:00 pm, in reference to a shots fired complaint. Upon KSP’s arrival, they observed numerous shell casings and blood on US 25 and immediately closed the roadway down. KSP Troopers also learned that an individual had been shot and had transported himself to a local hospital.
The initial investigation revealed that a verbal altercation had occurred between several individuals. After the altercation, two individuals went back to their car and began to drive away. As the vehicle started to depart, an unknown individual began to fire a weapon out of the window of the car back at the group that was on the side of US 25.
The individuals left the area in an unknown direction of travel. The vehicle is believed to be a white 4 door Toyota Camry and could possibly have bullet holes in the rear end of the vehicle.
