Date of News Release: 2/20/2017
Mt Olivet, KY (February 19, 2018) — The Kentucky State Police are investigating a student at Robertson County High School who was armed with a CO2 powered pellet pistol.
The 15 year old male student had concealed the pellet pistol and a knife in his backpack. The items were brought to the attention of school staff by students who had been shown the items while on the high school campus by the juvenile. This incident occurred recently after the principal, Mr. Johnson, had advised the students of the importance of reporting incidents involving firearms and weapons.
Even though the juvenile did not make a direct threat to use the gun or knife, he has been charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon on School Property. The Kentucky State Police want to be clear that any and all threats against the children of the Commonwealth, no matter how small, will be dealt with swiftly to insure the safety of all.
