White Plains Man Facing Charges after Pursuit

Nortonville, KY (Hopkins County) – On January 21, 2018, at approximately 5:36 P.M., the Kentucky State Police received a complaint of a Jeep driving recklessly in Nortonville, KY. Trooper John Eilert was able to locate the vehicle on US Highway 62 East, just outside Nortonville.
Trooper Eilert activated his emergency equipment in attempt to stop the vehicle. The operator disregarded Trooper Eilert’s emergency equipment and continued east bound on US HWY 62 E. The pursuit ended when the operator turned onto KY 813 in White Plains, and into a driveway. The Operator was identified as Christopher M. Kennedy, 25, of White Plains, KY, who was arrested without further incident.
Kennedy was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center and charged with the following:
1.) Failure to Illuminate Head Lamps
2.) Failure to Wear Seatbelt
3.) Reckless Driving
4.) No Operator’s License
5.) Fleeing and Evading Police Motor Vehicle 2nd Degree
