Central City Man Arrested for Sexual Abuse 1st Degree

Central City, KY (Muhlenberg County) – The Kentucky State Police has charged a Central City man with Sexual Abuse 1st Degree.
On September 2, 2017 Trooper Brian Graves began an investigation into a sexual abuse complaint. Through investigation Trooper Graves was able to determine Matthew Burch, 34, of Central City, KY, had committed the crime of sexual abuse involving a child under the age of 12. Trooper Graves obtained an arrest warrant, and arrested Burch January 19, 2018 at approximately 5:50 P.M. at his residence in Central City, KY.
Matthew Burch was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center and charged with Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, Victim Under 12 Years of Age. The crime is a Class C Felony, which is punishable by 5 to 10 years in prison.
