White Plains Man Charged with DUI and Drug Charges

To meet the challenges of the upcoming winter weather driving season, KSP reminds drivers to plan ahead, make sure all passengers are properly restrained, drive defensively and ensure their vehicle is properly maintained to handle the effects of cold temperatures.
On Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at approximately 9:56 P.M., Trooper Brian Graves observed Ryan Lantrip, 35, of White Plains, KY, operating a gray Toyota Camry on S Lee Trover Todd Hwy in Earlington, KY, with only one headlight. Trooper Graves initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, where he was able to determine Mr. Lantrip was under the influence.
While searching the vehicle, Trooper Graves discovered marijuana, an open alcohol beverage container, and various pills.
Ryan Lantrip was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center and charged with the following offenses:
1.) One Headlight
2.) Possession of an Open Alcohol Container in Motor Vehicle Prohibited
3.) Possession of Marijuana
4.) Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs/Etc. .08- 1st Offense
5.) Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense- Drug Unspecified
