KSP Arrests Butler County Man for Trafficking Meth
Traffic Stop Leads to Seizure of Drugs and Currency

FORDSVILLE, KY (January 04, 2018) – Kentucky State Police troopers conducted a traffic stop in Fordsville (Ohio County) around 5:30 p.m. Troopers identified the operator to be 33 year-old Michael Chad Whitsell of Morgantown, KY. Through the investigation, KSP discovered Whitsell to have an active Parole Violation Warrant. He was also operating the vehicle with a Driving Under the Influence Suspended License. KSP troopers found Whitsell to be in possession of nearly one and a half (1.5) pounds of crystal methamphetamine, one (1) ounce of marijuana, approximately $5,000 in cash, and other related drug paraphernalia.

Whitsell was arrested and charged with:
1) Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offence - Meth
2) Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offence - Meth
3) Trafficking Marijuana 2nd Offence
4) Possession of Marijuana
5) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
6) Operating on a DUI Suspended License
7) Careless Driving
8) Vision/Windshield Obstruction
9) Service of Warrant, Parole Violation

Whitsell is lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center in Hartford, KY.
