Jeff, KY.(February 7, 2018) - A Perry County man was killed following a two vehicle crash late Tuesday afternoon. Kentucky State Police Post 13 was notified of the collision by Perry County 911 just after 5:00 p.m. Detectives Brandon Thomas and Scott Caudill with KSP Post 13 responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. It was initially determined that Roger Clark, age 46 of Viper, was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo on Highway 7 South. The car crossed the centerline and entered the northbound lane, where it collided with a 2012 Dodge Ram which was driven by 29 year old Matthew Sturgill of Cumberland, KY. Roger Clark was pronounced deceased at the scene by Perry County Deputy Coroner Jeff Combs. Matthew Sturgill was transported to the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
