Hazard, KY.(February 5, 2018) - Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard currently has an employment opportunity available for the position of Police Telecommunicator I. The position is listed as Police Telecommunicator I, in Perry County. Applicants must be a U S citizen, at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license. Job characteristics for KSP telecommunicators include, but are not limited to: perform beginning level work in receiving and disseminating information concerning public safety and law enforcement activities to, from and between Kentucky State Police mobile units, law enforcement agencies and the public. Answer 911 calls in areas without local 911 service, provide emergency medical dispatch instructions while emergency responders are in route; and perform other duties as required.
