KSP Investigates Injury Collision - Two vehicle Collision Involving Fleming County Deputy

Flemingsburg, Ky. (May 17, 2017) – Tuesday May 16, 2017, at 10:00 P.M. Kentucky State Police Post 8 Morehead received information about a two vehicle collision on Morehead Road in Fleming County. Trooper Jared Wagner responded to the scene.

After further investigation, it was determined that Dana Gulley, 48, of Flemingsburg, Ky. was traveling southbound in a Toyota Camry when she attempted to make a left turn and was struck by a Dodge Charger being driven by Fleming County Deputy Justin Conley. Ms. Gulley’s vehicle came to final rest on the northbound shoulder of Morehead Road while Deputy Conley’s police cruiser went into a nearby ditch. Deputy Conley was responding to a complaint with his emergency equipment activated at the time of the collision.

Ms. Gulley was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition. Two other passengers in Ms. Gulley’s vehicle were taken to Fleming County Hospital for treatment and then released. Deputy Conley was not injured in the collision. This collision remains under investigation by Trooper Jared Wagner.
