KSP Investigates Fatal Collision in Bourbon County
Dry Ridge, KY The Kentucky State Police responded to a two vehicle collision in Bourbon County at approximately 10:10 a.m. A 2008 Chrysler Pacifica was traveling east on Hawkins Cummins Road, when the operator failed to stop at the intersection with Russel Cave Road (KY 353), and was struck by a 2008 Cadillac SRX that was traveling south bound. George Hehr (80) of Cynthiana was operating the Cadillac with a single passenger, his wife, Nancy Hehr (76). The operator of the Chrysler Pacifica was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Bourbon County Coroner. Mr. and Mrs. Hehr were transported to University of Kentucky Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries sustained from the collision. KSP was assisted at the scene by Bourbon County EMS, Paris EMS, Georgetown/Scott County EMS, and the Bourbon County Coroner. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Phillips Wagner. At the time of this release, death notification has not been made to the family of the Chrysler Pacifica operator. The name will be released following notification.
