KSP Investigates Fatal Collision in Bourbon County

Dry Ridge, KY The Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle collision in Bourbon County at approximately 3:57 a.m. Mr. Willie Walker, (32) of Carlisle, was traveling east bound on US 68 in a 2005 Suzuki XL 7 near the Nicholas County line when he ran off the road on the left side striking a tree. The vehicle overturned and came to final rest on the driver’s side. Mr. Walker was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Bourbon County Coroner. Ronnie Thompson Jr. was a passenger in the vehicle. He was transported to University of Kentucky Medical Center for injuries sustained from the collision. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor. KSP was assisted at the scene by Bourbon County EMS, Paris Police Department and the Bourbon County Coroner. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Joseph Kenny.
